About Us
The Agricultural Adaptation Council (AAC) is a coalition of 47 agricultural, agri-food and rural organizations, incorporated in 1996 to administer Ontario’s share of the Canadian Adaptation and Rural Development (CARD) Fund.

Products / Services:
AAC invests in innovative projects that enhance the economic health of the Ontario agriculture and agri-food sector and rural communities. Support is tailored to the needs of the project and can include grants, loan guarantees, loans, interest rebates and even equity positions in start-up companies. By the fall of 2000, AAC’s CanAdapt program had committed more than $45 million to 279 projects with a total value of $215 million.

AAC also administers the Ontario portion of the National Soil and Water Conservation Program (NSWCP), the Canada-Ontario Research and Development Program and the Agricultural Environmental Stewardship Initiative.
