Research Initiatives:
Brock is one of Canada’s outstanding mid-sized research universities. Our new Cool Climate Oenology and Viticulture Institute, which serves as a major research resource for Niagara’s grape and wine industry, offers the only undergraduate program in this area in Canada, and is attracting major national and international attention. Biological Sciences Professor Alan Castle, with a grant from the Ontario Ministry of Education and Training, is researching techniques for crop protection against a green mold that is causing mushroom-crop losses.

Facilities:
Our Cool Climate Oenology and Viticulture Institute building provides the specialized equipment to effectively coordinate research and technology important to the grape and wine industry.
