About Us:
Since classes first began in 1957, we have
grown into one of Canada’s
premiere science programs. Science at
Waterloo is known for excellence in teaching, research and
technology transfer.
Research Initiatives:
Waterloo scientists are currently
involved in world-class research projects such as breeding
food-bearing plants to thrive under a thinning ozone layer,
discovering the shapes of protein molecules that cause disease and
developing effective ways of erasing toxic chemicals from soil and
water.
