Mission Statement:
The Ontario Corn Producers’
Association (OCPA) seeks to promote and assist Ontario corn
producers and their products through market development, research,
communications, trade, farm financial programs and safety net
programs.
About Us:
The OCPA, founded in 1983, is a non-profit
association representing 21,000 Ontario corn producers. The
association is funded by a refundable check-off on commercial grain
corn sales. The OCPA works closely with a core team of federal,
university and private researchers to develop integrated proposals,
secure funding, and monitor progress.
Markets Served:
While Ontario livestock and poultry
represent the largest domestic market for Ontario corn, the
industrial use of corn has grown by about 40% since 1995/96, with
this expansion expected to continue.
