Mission Statement:
The primary function of the Ontario
Vegetable Growers’ Marketing Board (OVGMB) is annual negotiation of
prices, terms and conditions of sale of 13 processing vegetable
crops on behalf of growers. Processors then contract their
requirements directly with the individual growers of their choice.
About Us:
The OVGMB represents 875 processing vegetable
growers across Ontario. Growers have committed approximately 1% of
their annual gross returns primarily for the purpose of sourcing
market data and industry information. The crops involved are
tomatoes, cucumbers, sweet corn, green peas, green and wax beans,
carrots, cauliflower, cabbage, beets, peppers, pumpkins, squash and
lima beans.
